Montgomery College, a community college in Montgomery County Maryland, has three campuses along with off-campus sites at Gaithersburg and Wheaton which comprise the Workforce Development and Continuing Education programs. The Takoma/Silver Spring campus houses the nursing and health science programs and the Germantown campus specializes in computer science and biotechnology as well as other science areas. The Rockville campus offers a wide variety of programs and courses.
Approximately 60,000 students are served at the college in both credit and non-credit programs. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education has accredited Montgomery College to offer associate degrees, certificates, and letters of recognition. Admission is open to all students who have a high school diploma or GED. Students seeking degrees in academic areas are required to take the Accuplacer Next Generation exam to determine placement in English and Mathematics courses. Qualifying ACT or SAT scores may exempt students from this requirement. Additionally, international students may be required to provide documentation of English language proficiency. The Accuplacer ESL test is administered at the college for this purpose.
The Associate Degree Nursing program is offered at the college. Graduates of this program are eligible to take the NCLEX licensure exam. They may also be eligible to transfer for a Bachelor of Science in nursing program. Students applying for nursing or other health sciences programs are required to take the ATI TEAS exam prior to being accepted. A transfer program in teacher education earns a degree of Associate of Arts in Teaching. To earn the AAT, a student must submit a passing score on the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators exam. They must also earn a GPA of at least 2.75.

Additionally, our approach to math instruction is direct and to the point. We won’t waste your time with long-winded explanations. And our course only includes the topics that are covered on your placement test - nothing more and nothing less. We know that the best test prep must be incredibly efficient as well.
Let’s face it. Test prep books and practice questions are not enough, and classes and tutors are too expensive. That’s why we created our online course - to offer the perfect balance of affordability and effectiveness that has always been missing for students preparing for the ACCUPLACER Math test at Montgomery College.
At MathHelp.com, our mission is to break down the “math wall” that holds so many students back from achieving the success they deserve. Why do students at Montgomery College struggle on the ACCUPLACER math placement test? Because they have simply never received individualized instruction in math. By providing every student with a personal math teacher for the exact math help they need, we give students the opportunity to conquer math, to build confidence in themselves, to continue their education, and to pursue their dreams.
