The PRAXIS 5732 and 5733 are two different versions of the PRAXIS Core math test. The 5733 has more of an emphasis on Probability and Statistics than the 5732, and less of an emphasis on Algebra and Geometry. The PRAXIS 5733 is also a newer test, having only been around since September of 2019.

The Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators test in Mathematics (5733) measures academic skills in mathematics needed to prepare successfully for a career in education. All skills assessed have been identified as needed for college and career readiness, in alignment with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. The test will cover three major content areas: Number and Quantity, Data Interpretation and Representation, Statistics, and Probability, and Algebra and Geometry. Focus is on key concepts of mathematics and the ability to solve problems and to reason in a quantitative context. Many of the problems require the integration of multiple skills to achieve a solution.
The test will contain several types of questions: selected-response questions for which you choose one answer, selected-response questions for which you select more than one answer, and numeric entry questions. An on-screen calculator is available during the test.
