Located in North Carolina and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Fayetteville Technical Community College enrolls approximately 41,000 students per year. Programs at FTCC culminate in associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. The college also offers a variety of continuing education programs. The main campus is in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Additional campuses are located at Spring Lake and Fort Bragg.
Since it is an open admissions college, students may attend provided they apply and submit high school transcripts. Students who have graduated from high school within ten years of application date, who do not have SAT or ACT scores, are placed into courses based on their high school GPA. Students who graduated from high school more than ten years before applying, may be required to take the North Carolina Diagnostic Assessment and Placement Test (NC DAP) for course placement.
The college offers programs in health sciences and nursing. Students who wish to enroll in the Associate Degree Nursing and Dental Hygiene programs must take the ATI TEAS exam as part of a competitive admissions process for those programs. Graduates of the Associate Degree Nursing program will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). The nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The school also offers Public Service Programs in School Age Education and Early Childhood Education. The programs result in associate degrees, diplomas, or certificates.
