This course is not designed to place you into College Algebra. If you would like to place into College Algebra, we recommend our ALEKS College Algebra Readiness course.

What are the basic skills?

The basic skills that you’ll need to learn to place out of at least one remedial course are the topics you would see in a traditional Pre-Algebra course. These topics include Whole Numbers, Integers, Fractions, Decimals, Ratio, and Proportion, as well as an introduction to Algebra, Geometry, Probability, and Statistics.

My Aleks test went well, I improved my score from a 30 to a 52. Which got me into the class I needed. One of the most helpful elements of the course was the teachers writing out every single step of the problem. And that the answers were also well written out during the practice section so I could easily see where I went wrong. As well as the links in the bottom left corner that directed you back to lessons on the foundations of what you were doing for when I forgot. Thank you for making such wonderful resource!Brighton Bolinder - October 2024

It was great! I scored high enough on the ALEKS to qualify out of the pre-req. I liked the explanations and how it broke things out easily.Cassandra Lipin - May 2024

Will definitely recommend. Helped me passed my aleks test.Scott Keenen - January 2024

It was very helpful to learn the basic math when it came to taking my Aleks test.Ryan Christ - September 2022
