GCF

Students learn to find the Greatest Common Factor between two numbers by using factor trees. Students also learn to find the Greatest Common Factor between two or more monomials that involve variables using the following rules. To qualify for the Greatest Common Factor, the variable must appear in every monomial. If the variable does appear in every monomial, the Greatest Common Factor uses the smallest power on that variable.
