Distance Formula

This lesson covers the distance formula. What is the distance formula? The distance formula tells us that we can find the distance between two points on a coordinate system, (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), by taking the square root of [(x2 - x1)^2 + (y2 - y1)^2]. The problems in this lesson ask students to find the distance between two points, such as (1, 2) and (5, -1), using the distance formula.
